📋 Supervision and hosting: @Sofie will be supervising DC02, DC04, DC11. @University of Twente will be the hosting beneficiary for DC02, DC06 and DC11 and Host for Secondment for DC01, DC04 and DC09 for their secondment.
Beneficiary - KU LEUVEN
KUL is by far the largest university in Belgium in terms of research funding and expenditure (EUR 532 million in 2019). It is a charter member of the LERU. Since 2015, It has been ranked the first in Thomson Reuters’ list of Europe’s Most Innovative Universities. KUL participated in 657 highly competitive European research projects, ranking fifth with regard to the number of participations in the league of Higher Education (HES) institutions participating in Horizon Europe. KUL is involved in 90 Innovative Training Networks, 12 European Joint Doctorates and 7 European Industrial doctorates. The Electrical Engineering Department (ESAT) at KUL conducts research at a high international level, e.g., more than 9 professors in this department obtained an ERC grant. The WAVECORE division concentrates on telecommunications and microwave research, combining theoretical, implementation, and measurement expertise.
